October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of the disease. The goal is to get as many people as possible to participate in awareness-raising and funding to help support life-saving research and life-changing support. About 1 in 8 women born in the United States today will have breast cancer at some point. In the U.S. UU. But did you know that there are other months that represent additional (and equally important) health problems for women? There is Cervical Health Awareness Month in January, National Endometriosis Awareness Month in March, and Women's Eye Health and Safety Month.

The goal of these programs is to educate women about conditions that may be at risk, explain available testing options, and share advice and prevention resources. Get regular checkups for health screenings and immunizations. Ask your doctor how often you should go for a routine checkup and be sure to address any health concerns or questions you may have during your visit. Most deaths occur in low- and middle-income families, where most women with breast cancer are diagnosed in late stages mainly due to a lack of knowledge about early detection and barriers to health services.
